Neil Rees, the Chairman of the Tyndale Society, gave an excellent talk on William Tyndale to the Tewkesbury Theology Forum on Wednesday 24th June. It was an exceptionally hot evening and the talk was held in the Lady Chapel of Tewkesbury Abbey - the coolest spot in Tewkesbury.
His talk focused initially on the details of the life, work and death of William Tyndale, and then expanded to how his translation has affected the English language and Bible translation since. There followed an extended question and answer session where a well-informed audience put him to the test - which he passed magnificently. The Abbey could not have had a better speaker and we give him our heartfelt thanks.
