On Monday 12th October, Professor David Crystal gave a talk entitled, 'Here I stand - for ever and ever' at St Martin-in-the-Fields church in central London. This was to mark the church's three hundredth anniversary and the five hundredth anniversary of William Tyndale's New Testament. David Crystal is a professor of linguistics and he gave a talk on the impact of William Tyndale on the English language.
